I like this, too – it looks like your shadow and the trees could be on fire but I know they’re not. Seeing Ed’s reaction, I guess for me, there’s something reassuring about the shadow as if it’s OK because someone is witnessing the event.
That figure was actually my hiking companion, Marguerite. This was made with a wide angled rotation so the wispy thin lines around each side of her were specular highlights from leaves and branches very close to the lens.
