I love the repetition of shapes in this pleasant photograph. Some shapes are irregular (clouds, waves, and seafoam) and some are regular (the stripes of sky, water, and sand). The contrast between regular and irregular shapes is also enjoyable.
My pleasure. I told Joe you posted some nice photos of the beaches and he reminisced about walking on the beach in Hampton Bays in winter when there was snow around and the sun was out and the beach grass poked out of the dunes. 🙂
Hope the calm of the middle of your fascinating photo will reach us around the world in 2023
I wish I could make it so. Always a pleasure to hear from you– thanks

Thanks… all nicely observed. Appreciate all your visits and thoughts over the years.
What a gorgeous picture. It seems like four separate pictures mounted one on top of the other. Dramatic and serene simultaneously.
Thanks Ed; that’s a really interesting comment. It occurs to me that the ocean is often dramatic and serene — it certainly was today once again.
So beautiful!
Thanks Lily, I appreciate those thoughts!
Beautiful, John. Those irregular foamy shapes in the foreground bring the Atlantic right back to me. 🙂
Good to hear… thanks so much for all the generous comments today
