John, this is too much 😊 These shell photos take me back over 50 years to a class at college! We had to choose an object, I chose a clam shell and draw it, paint it, print it, sculpt it! My favourite was etching it onto a copper plate which never got printed. Since then, having moved house too many times, the plate was lost and also the shell! 😒 So your photos just bring those memories flooding back! 🙋♂️
Great story Ashley, thanks for sharing. I’m so sorry you lost your copper plate. As I mentioned to Lynn Wohlers on my first post, the inspiration for this series came from a stipple sketch a friend made 40 years ago which I haven’t seen since.

Maybe it’s a sign? Should I start drawing again? I could use one of your photos as my model! ✏️😊
Please feel free. It pays it forward full circle since I was originally inspired by a sketch.
I’d love to see it if you do!
There’s a wonderful tension between these two. I like the sensation that the top clam is falling, falling…
Nicely said. Thanks Lynn 🐚
