That’s a beautiful Weston you linked to. Your photo has a different mood (I know, I don’t have to tell you that) and is just as satisfying if the viewer is willing to spend more than a few seconds with it. I like the mysterious, otherworldly atmosphere.
Astonishingly, that Weston is just a 7 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ contact print. We’d be hard-pressed to find another continuous-tone photograph with a look that ravishing. And in that intimate size he preferred— sublime.
