Thanks Ed! Years back, there’s a long list of representational photographs of abstract subjects. Off the top of my head, there are those taken by Siskind, Strand and Sudek, along with Man Ray and a group of photographers in Prague whose names I can’t remember. As far back as the 1860’s, photographers were making stereoview abstractions of ice formations. (I own a few of those, taken at Niagara Falls and in the Catskills.)
This begins a series of new semi-abstractions, the majority of which are details of out-of-service trains and associated buildings. Enjoy the trip!

The title works very well with this, it is a kind of hinterland, and a good one to explore.
