    1. Thanks Lynn. The texture comes from an original cabinet card I own, a vignetted pioneer woman photographed by FJ Haynes around 1885. Because it was vignetted, there’s a lot of texture/foxing in the negative space behind the subject. That’s the stuff I was interested in and copied with a macro. It’s layered behind the beach with limited opacity.

  1. I know you’re interested in the history of photography, and older processes, and I saw the fine print…but it’s good to know a little more, to hear the backstory.
