Predawn, Napeague Meadow Road

The picture is from yesterday morning, taken a few minutes before sunrise.  The poles were lashed by serious winds during the hurricane, but as far as I know, none of them toppled. The road is one of my favorites here on the East End, especially in Autumn when it seems to wind backwards to less cluttered times.

I’ve been taking photographs around this area for several days, and I’m pretty happy with this one.

      1. I love this question too, for his pic. They are so individual somehow, and flawed and really disastrous and/yet/despite, lovable, maybe. 🙂

  1. I felt just the same as those above – why are these so tender? I think I like that they are unperfected, useful, but still flawed, human – so much in our lives now seem so “clean”, with hidden digital workings, it’s hard to see the functionality..do I make any sense here?!! 🙂 Anyway – great and thought provoking shot!
