Ammophila – Indian Wells Beach

Here’s a photograph taken at the crack of dawn today at Indian Wells Beach in Amagansett. I used a G3 Panasonic with a 14mm lens amd an attached wide converter. The field of view achieved with this rig is about the same as a 21mm lens on a 35 camera.

The sun is now rising out of the ocean in these parts, and the beach can look quite full-blooded in the opening blast of sunlight.

Ammophila Breviluguta is the native beachgrass found on the northeastern shores of the US.  It’s just beginning to turn from green to yellow.
