Part of the appeal of abandoned structures in the arid west is the views their dilapidated conditions can afford. The open windows and half walls let in the ever present desert. They give the immensity that one is constantly surrounded by a perspective. The open window in the back of this house expands the subject matter of the picture and changes the feel. For me, that change enhances this great shot.
