John’s work has won numerous awards, has been exhibited extensively and hangs in many offices and private collections. His work has been published in The New Yorker, Men’s Journal, Town And Country, Decor, Metropolitan Home, Crain’s New York Business, Elle Canada, Plum Hampton and other magazines. In addition, articles have appeared in The East Hampton Star, The Southampton Press, Newsday, Shutterbug, and Blue Sand. He was selected as a VIP artist in 2007 by Long Island Pulse. There was a 2008 article on John’s work in Hamptons Online and John has also recently appeared on Plum TV. In 2009 his work was selected to decorate the newly opened Wellness Center at Southampton Hospital.
John studied with Anthony Nobile in the 1970′s. He’s also worked as a ranger for the National Park Service including several years as an assistant to the curator at Sagamore Hill National Historic Site where he catalogued thousands of historic photographs. He has been pursuing photography full-time in East Hampton, NY since 1987.
