The calm colours and smooth textures gives this scene the feel of a dream where the laws of gravity are slightly off, and all is peaceful and quiet. The subject matter is interesting, it’s as though the boat in the background is quietly observing the capsised one.

It’s been curious to me because there’s something ambiguous about a capsized boat in a serene setting.
Haha that is true! But the other boat is afloat. Maybe it is the symbolism about balancing or the abstract zen like peace the image has. I like it!

It’s looking into a shallow bay…that’s about it. It was an exceptionally low tide.
Lots of fog…a capsized boat…no wind….low tide.
